sweet basil ideas???

My sweet basil is thriving, but it is going to seed. I cut off over half of the stalks and leaves and I'm drying them in the dehydrator. Any other suggestions on what to do with so much basil at one time??? A. Lee-Lee would say " put them on a tomato and mayo sandwich".

I can't get mine to grow an inch!

Alicia was just telling me yesterday that she searched basil recipes because hers was doing so well...she was going to make a bunch of pesto and freeze it. I think she's planning to post the recipes!

I just picked the only herbs that are really growing in my garden - dill and parsley - and I am going to freeze them in ice cube trays with a little water and store them!

Pesto! Pesto! Pesto! We eat it on everything this time of year...pasta, chicken, as a spread for paninis...YUM! I have a fabulous recipe out of the Peach Tree Tea Room cookbook (in Fredricksburg)...let me know if you want it and I can email it to ya! My basil is exploding too - I love it - one fo my favorite herbs!
